Yosemite valley floor to the top

Wrecked in the best way. Started on Muir trail thinking we'd cruise to the top. Rockslides had other plans. An epic odyssey through many microclimates. Waterfalls were absolutely thunderous. So much water cascading down faces of granite. Half Dome kept revealing herself through different windows of mist and light. One minute desert heat. Next you're cooling in alpine shadows. The mountain gave us exactly what we needed. Rushing waters. Shifting landscapes. Nature's own meditation.

The detour becomes the destination.
